In praise of wrinkles

Ashton the Amazing makes the point: ” Open any women’s magazine and a hundred advertisements bellow, ‘How can you expect to be desired if you ‘let yourself go?’ ”  NY Times, 10/09/17

My answer to the magazine’s question – by wishing to be desired by people who truly love US, who look to our true nature rather than our physiological outer layer. Those people never see the things that cosmetics companies, Big Pharm & plastic surgeons seek to eradicate. How can we expect to be desired if we don’t focus on who we truly are? Where is the joy in being desired as an image by people with no appreciation or interest in friending our soul?
